Bronwyn is an educator and researcher who specialises in genetics and genomics. She is a Senior Education Program Manager in the OurDNA team. Bronwyn has experience in engaging and educating public and professional audiences with DNA, genes and genomes in Australia, the UK and the USA. Her research has focused on implementing genomic medicine into health care, new approaches for educating the genomics workforce, public genetic literacy, and community engagement with genomics.
Bronwyn has spent most of her career talking or writing about DNA, genetics and genomics. She has qualifications in science, science education, science communication and scientific and technical writing. Before joining CPG, she loved being able to work with the community engagement team on participant information materials that have now been translated into multiple languages.
The Centre for Population Genomics is a joint national initiative of Garvan Institute of Medical Research and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. The Institutes are national leaders in genomic research, with complementary strengths spanning large-scale genomics, data science, population health, and clinical impact.
