Rafal has a bachelor’s degree in humanitarian and development studies. She has six years’ experience in settlement and social services delivery for migrant and refugees’ communities in roles like multicultural worker, exit and quality assurance administrator, community development and disability employment. She was also involved in a research project (Better Elder Care) that tackle aged care service provision for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse older (65+) adults in Greater Western Sydney. Rafal joined CPG after recovering from major health matters and was passionate about advocating and openly talking about stigmatized health related topics in some communities.
The Centre for Population Genomics is a joint national initiative of Garvan Institute of Medical Research and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. The Institutes are national leaders in genomic research, with complementary strengths spanning large-scale genomics, data science, population health, and clinical impact.
