Saad Khalid is the Community Relations and Strategic Communications Specialist for OurDNA. Passionate about health and wellbeing in multicultural communities, Saad leverages his extensive experience to co-create, co-design, and collaborate with our key community partners in South Asian, Middle Eastern, East African, and Pasifika communities.
With a background in multicultural media and ethnic broadcasting, he has previously led the establishment of the Australian Multicultural Youth Media Summit with the NEMBC and the Community Broadcasting Foundation. Saad is passionate about advocating for inclusive policy - and serves as a State/Territory Board Member on the Medical Board of Australia, and Non-Executive Director for Relationships Australia Canberra & Region. For this work, Saad was named a Finalist for Young Australian of the Year 2025.
The Centre for Population Genomics is a joint national initiative of Garvan Institute of Medical Research and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. The Institutes are national leaders in genomic research, with complementary strengths spanning large-scale genomics, data science, population health, and clinical impact.
