Computational methods development for nanopore sequencing analysis

(PI: Dr Ira Deveson, Centre for Population Genomics)

Nanopore sequencing is an exciting emerging long-read DNA sequencing technology that promises to revolutionise our understanding of the genome, transcriptome and epigenome. To help realise the impact of nanopore sequencing in research and clinical genomics we are developing advanced computational methods for nanopore data analysis. Through the development of novel algorithms, data frameworks and purpose-built hardware, our goal is to enable fast, accurate, cheap and portable analysis solutions for the nanopore community.
