Diversity in genetic services and genomic datasets: survey of clinical geneticists and genetic counsellors working in Australia

(PI: Professor Daniel MacArthur, Centre for Population Genomics)

This project consisted of a survey of clinical geneticists and genetic counsellors in Australia. The objective of the survey was to identify Australian under-represented ancestry groups in genomic research, for whom diagnosis of genetic disease is a problem because of a lack of reference genomic data. This study will inform the ancestry communities for CPG to prioritise for outreach, communication, engagement, co-design and eventual recruitment into genomic studies.
