Glaucoma polygenic risk score

Glaucoma is the most common cause of irreversible blindness, and one of the most heritable common diseases. Together with academic, clinical, and industry partners, we are developing an accredited polygenic risk score to improve the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. We have projects exploring new clinical indications, technical enhancements, reporting, and clinical implementation.

The Centre for Population Genomics is a national initiative, jointly housed at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. We work all across the country and collaborate with partners internationally and in Australia.
